COBRA LINE OF PISTOL SILENCERS / SUPPRESSORS

The SAI COBRA pistol silencer / suppressor system is made for the pistol shooter, who wants the widest possibilities to perfectly set up a silencer / suppressor for his personal needs.
The COBRA system consists of 3 main models and several add on possibilities giving you the possibility to combine these models and set-ups as you please.
1. COBRA Impuls+ is a silencer / suppressor designed with an integrated impuls Unit. This impuls unit enables pistol shooters to use silencers on typical pistol actions where the barrel activates the recoil motion. No tools are needed for fitting or removing the silencer / suppressor.
2. COBRA Direct is used when the pistol has a non moving barrel.
3. COBRA RB model is a special silencer / suppressor that uses disposable rubber baffles – it is VERY quiet, even with supersonic ammunition, but the baffles is burnt away in between 50 – 80 shots depending on ammunition used. The COBRA RB model works on all pistol models even without impuls unit fitted.
All parts from the former SB models and the new COBRA series are interchangeable, meaning that you have the advantage of being able to mix baffle in the setting of your preference.
All COBRA silencers / suppressor can be taken apart for cleaning.
Impuls Unit:
The threaded part for the impuls unit can be ordered slotted for optimal sound reduction or uncut. When uncut thread part is used, the impuls does not get soiled up as quickly as when using the slotted thread part. The threaded unit can be ordered in short or long version as some pistol constructions may need more space for the reloading cycle. The short version protrudes 2 mm from the impuls chamber, the long version protrudes 32 mm.
As different ammunition is used, the spring load on the reaction unit can be adjusted by using the tip of a ball pen to screw the rear cover up or down.
The threaded part can be ordered in the following threads: Thread: ½”x28, M13x1, M13,5x1L, M14x1, M14x1L, M15x1. ( ask for other types )
Aluminum Baffles:
The aluminum baffles can be ordered as symmetric or asymmetric. Symmetric baffles do not affect the flight of the bullet and therefore will not affect precision. Asymmetric baffles will affect the bullet in flight inside the silencer, but offers a better sound reduction.
Rubber Baffles:
All SAI COBRA silencers / suppressor can use rubber baffles. Disposable rubber baffles can be bought as extras and makes the silencer VERY quiet, even with supersonic ammunition. The baffles are burnt away in between 50 – 80 shots depending on ammunition used.
Extra baffles, spare parts, impuls units  and thread parts can be ordered as set or individually if you want to experiment with the internal baffle setup. If in doubt ask us at SAI at any time.
